Learning by Design

We’re really excited to be developing ideas for the new offices of a Maths app educational game developer, based in central London.

The brief from the client leans heavily on core values that they invest in everything they do: communicating and sharing ideas, and keeping an eye towards the next generation – both in terms of education and the sustainability of their own footprint – in this case the office space.

AW designer Kuda Kapuyanyika is thriving on developing a workspace aligned with the client’s functional needs: “They’re looking for plenty of breakout spaces and collaborative spaces – that’s how they work – bouncing ideas off each other – communicating and educating through play runs through their DNA.”

“In the collaborative spaces we’re proposing high desking, factory bar stools and a product called IdeaPaint, so they can take ideas and chuck them straight on the wall – all these features will resonate with their culture and ethos. Elsewhere we’re employing raw sustainable industrial materials, like plywood, and using geometric shapes on the floor finishes to link the spaces together, which again is a nod to their educational roots.”
