St Joseph’s is a Catholic primary school located in Bracknell, Berkshire, and run by their inspirational leadership team, looked to the future in redeveloping their classroom spaces. Our design team worked closely with the senior leadership team, the teaching staff and the school’s steering committee to reimagine and refurbish the tired, drab classrooms into bright, airy and friendly learning spaces across the block.
Works included fitted teaching walls with integrated storage and smartboards as well as sliding walls which allowed multiple classrooms to be opened up and transformed into larger spaces. New LED lighting throughout complemented the simple colour scheme of the oak wood effect acoustic backed vinyl floors and the soft coloured walls.
The works were undertaken over the 6 week summer holiday period and the project was handed on time and on budget with the works including a full strip out and refurbishment of the primary classroom washrooms.
